About Us

Young's Funeral Home has been a staple of the Gainesville and Hall County communities since 1932 when Willie B. Young established the Eastside Funeral Home. It later became W.B. Young Funeral Home located on 'Sweet Old Athens Street' . Willie B's baby brother, Grover Young, would open Young's Mortuary Company ,also on 'Sweet Old Athens Street'. In the early 1960s Grover and his wife, Estelle, moved the business into a newly built funeral home on his property on Old Athens Road. The building was the first standalone funeral home built in Gainesville Hall County. In the early 1970s Grover and his two nephews Willie B's sons Arthur Fredrick Young and Willie Roger Young would become Young Brother Funeral Home. Young Brothers eventually becomes YLY Young's Funeral Home and moves to its present location.  Young's Funeral Home and Cremations continues the tradition of service started over 90 years ago.  Young's Funeral Home is the oldest black business in Gainesville, Hall County Georgia.
